Dr. Khoi Nguyen
I come from a family of many healthcare providers who have had a major impact on who I am; from doctors, to pharmacists, and dentists. It may sound cliche but I have always known that I would be a dentist ever since I was little. However, I never understood the importance of what I do or how rewarding it can be until I had the opportunity to help Mrs. D.B., my first edentulous patient.Mrs. D.B. had lost all her teeth a long time before coming to see me. As such, her treatment was complicated and lasted several weeks from the planning phase to delivery. I remember on the day her treatment was completed I was so shocked to see Mrs. D.B. crying tears of joy in my chair over what she had regained. It was then that I realized the true impact of my profession. Good oral hygiene and oral health is so crucial in many aspects of our everyday life that we take for granted; from being able to eat your favorite food and getting the nutrition that you need, to being able to speak and smile with confidence.I keep the pictures of Mrs. D.L. with me after all these years as a reminder of why I love my profession and of my commitment to helping my patients obtain and maintain their optimal oral health.I hope that you will give us the opportunity to help you today! A healthy smile is reflective of good oral hygiene and a healthy way of life. That is why we say at Orchid Dental Care, “Our Passion is Your Smile!”Background and Training: I completed my Bachelor’s degree of Science in Biology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, otherwise known as Virginia Tech.
